Our Sports Therapist Ben will be out of the clinic from Tuesday 4th April till Monday 8th as he has been selected to support the medical team at Cheltenham Town Academy on their trip to Portugal for the IBERCUP. He will be supporting the club by providing medical assistance for the age groups 13s-16s.Whilst working for the Academy, Ben has responsibilities from covering pitch side for training and matches to providing emergency medical care to players. He will also be providing assessment and treatments for players that have obtained an injury alongside rehabilitation. Travelling to Cascia’s in Portugal, Ben will be covering many different games over different sites and against different international teams such as Porto FC.
The IBERCUP is currently one of the most important youth football tournaments in the world. This creates the opportunity for players and staff to interact with teams from all around the world with fantastic experiences.
Throughout Ben’s time away, he will be giving regular updates to keep us all updated.
