A Cheeky Date!

Ingredients

  • Dates
  • Peanut butter
  • Dark chocolate and organic cocoa powder
  • Sea Salt

Method

  1. Carefully cut the date open horizontally using a sharp knife and remove stone (repeat this to your required numbers of dates then put aside)
  2. Use a teaspoon level of peanut butter and scrape it into the date, filling the middle of date but not spilling out too much, leave to rest on a baking tray with grease proof paper.
  3. Break up the dark chocolate and add in a couple of tablespoons of cocoa powder and place in a glass bowl.
  4. Place the glass bowl over a small saucepan with an inch of water in the bottom, use a low heat and stir chocolate as it melts
  5. When chocolate is melted remove from heat
  6. Use a spoon and cover each date in the chocolate liquid, be generous and make sure date is covered
  7. Sprinkle sea salt over top while chocolate is in liquid form so the salt embeds into the mixture
  8. Leave in a fridge for 24 hours (longer the better)
  9. Enjoy!
