Apple and cinnamon baked oats

Discover a simple and delicious braised cabbage recipe that brings out the natural sweetness of the vegetable, perfect as a comforting side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 80g of oats
  • cinnamon (to taste!)
  • 20g desiccated coconut
  • 2 eggs
  • 100ml oat milk
  • 1 apple (cut into small chunks)
  • honey
  • coconut oil (for greasing)
  • natural/greek yoghurt
Tips

To make this recipe vegan, swap out the eggs for 2 mashed bananas and omit the yoghurt to serve.

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C
  2. Add the oats, as much cinnamon as you like and desiccated coconut to a bowl
  3. Gently whisk 2 eggs and add to the oat mixture
  4. Add the oat milk and apple to the oat mixture
  5. Combine well
  6. Add a big dollop of honey
  7. Grease an oven proof dish with coconut oil and pour in mixture
  8. Add more cinnamon if desired
  9. Add to oven, bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes
  10. Serve with natural or greek yoghurt and honey
  11. Enjoy!
