At Spinavita, we’re not just about adjustments, treatments, and exercises—we’re people too, with lives, families, and passions outside the clinic. This summer, our team made the most of the sunshine and packed their weeks with memorable adventures, big milestones, and plenty of downtime. From beach walks and music festivals to once-in-a-lifetime trips and personal achievements, here’s a little glimpse into how we’ve been spending our time.

Anna

This summer was nothing short of epic for Anna! She kicked things off with the opening night of the Oasis tour in Cardiff with her siblings and brother-in-law, which she thought was unreal! She also soaked up lots of quality family and friends time in stunning Pembrokeshire, the perfect mix of sea air and laughs. A real milestone was taking her girls on their very first London adventure—she felt that seeing it all through their eyes was magic. Add in plenty of chilled but fun local days out, and the whole summer was a perfect blend of big moments and little memories that will stick with Anna.

Jennifer

This summer, Jennifer spent her holiday in Lisbon and Porto. She enjoyed the glorious sunshine, local food, port and wine as well as the beautiful architecture. She also thoroughly enjoyed a trip to the theatre to watch the Moulin Rouge Musical and would highly recommend it to everyone (even if you are not a musicals fan, you may be pleasantly surprised). One of the other big milestones of Jennifer’s summer is buying her first home. Her camera roll is now exclusively pictures of potential furniture and tester paint pots!

Lisa

Lisa spent most of her free time in the Summer, camping with friends. She took her rescue dog, Frankie, for her first trip to the beach. I think she was more impressed with the ice cream than the sea! We’ve had lots of good walks and barbecues, visiting North Devon and South Wales 🤗

Jess

This summer, Jess had a two month break from her Master’s studies, enjoyed a piano concert at the Royal Albert Hall, and worked her way through a puzzle (because she still thinks they’re cool, even if no one else does!) She also found time to relax with a few glasses of wine.

Amanda

Amanda spent most of her summer outdoors, either at the beach or on a Forrest walk. She likes to have time away from her phone when she can as it helps with her mental health. Little changes make the biggest differences.

Kay

Life for Kay is always busy with work and socially too! Needless to say Summer did not disappoint. At the start of the Summer Kay watched her Cousin take part in the famous Cheese Roll at Coopers Hill. The crowd was packed with thousands from all around the Globe. To Kay’s elation her Cousin bravely flew down the hill dressed as Superman, and won! An ultimate way for Kay to let her hair down is through music, so she attended 3 festivals including the Reggae Weekender Festival in Bournemouth. Recently Kay enjoyed a holiday in Tenerife with her partner. Kay is not a lover of flying but was determined to go abroad. A highlight of the holiday was Siam Water Park where Kay embraced The Tower of Power freefall water slide of speeds upto 80 kw/h!! Overall it was a well deserved break in the sunshine, sipping cocktails, relaxing on the beach and watching the gorgeous sunsets on Las Americas beach.

Caroline

Caroline’s summer has been mostly working with the sunshine. She has had quite a few new flying students this summer! And Caroline has had somee successes too, as Stewart completed his 1st Solo Circuit. This is by far her favourite part of flight instruction. Ric completed his Dual Qualifying Cross Country, hoping to fly it again Solo very soon.

Apart from flying Caroline has kept up her running at 10km distance, by completing the Gloucester 10km on 29th June & the Severn Bridge 10km 19th August & she may look to do another before the year is out. The running also helped with her 1,000,000 Step Challenge over July, August & September for Diabetes UK which she is doing with her best friend Zena.

Sydney

This summer Sydney has been trying to spend as much time outdoors as possible and with the incredible weather we’ve had, she’s found it impossible to stay inside! Sydney has been exploring some beautiful hiking spots all over the UK, often with friends, family or her dog Lawrence. She has also been getting back into horse riding, a hobby that she’s missed for the couple of years after moving to Cheltenham. She as found it a joy to reconnect with riding, especially being able to make the most of the beautiful countryside.

Jane

This summer has been filled with wonderful family adventures for Jane. She has enjoyed a lovely time in Cornwall with her children, grandchildren, and dogs as well as enjoying a trip to Shaftesbury with friends to visit the iconic Gold Hill. This was topped off with making more memories at Center Parcs with the whole family (and of course, the dogs!).

Mel

Mel has been making the most of her last summer with her children before they start school and the restrictions it brings. She has been working lots and gathering up all the school uniform and all important shoes! Mel has been following the Lions Trail around the county and enjoying the beautiful sunny days walking and chasing her girls around on their bikes. She has also made about 6 bags of stewed apple from her bumper crop.
