Anna Hawrot BSc (Hons) DC, Doctor of Chiropractic

Lead Chiropractor and Clinic Director

ChiropracticLaser Therapy

Since graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2007, Anna’s passion for helping people continues to deepen with each year of clinical practice. She regularly attends seminars and conferences, expanding her skills and staying current with the latest advancements. This commitment allows her to provide a personalised, integrative, evidence based approach tailored to each patient.

As the founder of Spinavita Chiropractic since 2011, Anna has cultivated a place of excellence, building a team of dedicated clinicians and assistants.

I take a holistic view of the body, understanding that pain can stem from emotional, chemical, and physical factors. My mission is to uncover the root cause of discomfort, educate my patients, and empower them to understand their condition and biomechanics, helping to prevent future issues. I emphasise the importance of regular maintenance care, recognising that life isn’t always perfect. Ongoing care helps maintain optimal function, even when health habits slip.

Anna is registered with the GCC and is a member of the General Chiropractic Council, British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Let's learn more about Anna

How did you first get interested in your field of work?

I have always been interested in the human body and how it works, as well as sport, health and lifestyle. Chiropractic appealed to me as I was amazed to find a profession that used natural ways to help people from suffering; to be able to use my hands to help people is very special to me.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

The most important part of my job is not only helping people find relief from pain, but also offering a private and supportive space where they feel heard and understood.

What’s a common misconception about your area of expertise that you’d like to clear up?

Chiropractic care goes beyond just adjustments. We provide a safe, supportive space to talk and be heard, utilising a variety of techniques and tools beyond spinal adjustments.

How do you stay up to date with the latest developments in your field?

I regularly participate in seminars and conferences, and I also dedicate time to reading new research papers and articles.

What’s your favourite treatment or technique to perform and why?

I enjoy treating the neck (cervical spine), as I believe it has the most significant impact on the overall well-being of the body. It’s such a crucial area, impacting everything from posture to headaches, and even influencing the nervous system.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not helping patients?

I’m a mum of two beautiful girls, Nia and Rhiannon, who I share with my wonderful husband Gareth. We love the outdoors and spend weekends walking in the countryside, climbing hills and our favourite place to be is on a beach in Pembrokeshire. I vary my exercises from pilates, reformer pilates, yoga, strength and conditioning training and occasionally running. I love to share amazing food with my friends and family!

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

Sitting down and eating a nice meal with my family.

What’s your go-to snack during the workday?

Nuts!

If you weren’t working in healthcare, what would you be doing?

Hosting wellness retreats.

What’s the last book or movie that really inspired you?

Fast Like A Girl by Dr Mindy Peltz.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Learn to Dance in the Rain.
